Master Yun-Seok Baek
Master Yun-Seok Baek has had a passion for Martial Arts his whole life. He started learning Taekwondo at the young age in Korea. He has been fulfulling his life dream of training Taekwondo for over 30 years.
- 1977 Master Yun-Seok Baek started learning Taekwondo in Korea.
- 1991-1994 Taught Military Taekwondo in Korea
- 1997 Taught Taekwondo in Dankuk University in Korea
- 1999 Opened Baek's Tiger Martial Arts
- 2002 Began Teaching Taekwondo at Northwestern University
- 2005 Taught Taekwondo at Von Stuben High School
- 2005 Korea National Taekwondo Championship(Korea) National USA Team Coach
- 2006 Taught Taekwondo at Roosevelt High School
- Represented Illinois State Five times as aTaeKwondo Coach for the Korean American National Championship.
- Illinois Korean American Taekwondo Association Vice President
- 6th degree blackbelt in Taekwondo
- 4th degree blackbelt in Hapkido
- 4th degree blackbelt in Hae Dong Kum Do (swordsmanship)
In Korea, Master Baek received his Physical Education License, International Referee License, and his International Taekwondo Master License by Kuk Ki Won (W.T.F.)
With all his experience, Master Baek can truly teach you what taekwondo means, as well as help you understand important concepts like the tenets, and developing your full potential.

BTMA Students Compete in CTMA Tournament
BTMA Students recently participated in the CTMA Open Championship Tournament in Round Lake. It was a long day and our students did great!! Click here for competition results!
BTMA Students Qualify for 2009 AAU National Championship
On March 14, 2009 BTMA students attended an AAU National Qualifier Tournament that was held at Mukwonago High School in Mukwonago, WI. All the students did an excellent job and are now qualified to participate in the AAU Nationals this year!
